Eugene Bos

I am Eugene Bos serving in U.S. Navy in World War II. I enlisted at the age of 17, August 1943 in Fresno, California.

 

After boot camp at Farragut, Idaho, I went to MoMM School at the University of Illinois.Then, was assigned to Cub 11, 14 and Acorn 52 in Norfolk, VA

After overseas training at 29 Palms, California I shipped out of Port Hueneme, California to Palawan Island in the Philippines.

I had sea duty on the seaplane tender USS Half Moon AVP26 in Leyte Gulf, Philippines and Okinawa.

Returning to the shipyards in Seattle, Washington in October 1946.

Then assigned to NAS Alameda, CA for mothballing ships before decommissioning.I was discharged EM 3/C on October 6, 1947
